At present in the parish we have a number of ways for young people to be involved:

• The Youth Choir
• The 7.30pm Sunday Mass is our Youth Mass
• The HR Youth Center

Youth Center
The HR Youth Center, located beside the Parish Center on Herbert Road has opened its doors to the young people of Bray. The Center is open for young people of secondary school age upwards.

The HR Youth Centre is the result of the amazing committment of a group of people, who over a number of years , worked tirelessly to provide a space that is exclusively for young people.

The Centre aims to be a safe and stimulating place where young people can gather and get involved in a wide range of activities from playing Pool, surfing the net,  playing a DJ set, chatting over tea, expressing themself artistically in/on the Centre!  Also, sometimes walking over mountains or going to a Hostel and most importantly expressing their opinions about the running of the Centre.

It is an exciting time for the Centre as we are in our early stages of development. We hope that the young people who become members will be part of that development and will influence how we grow.

Dermot O’Brien is the Youth Development Manager and has the responsibility of managing the day to day running of the Centre as well as supporting our amazing volunteers and facilitating the strategic growth of the Centre over the coming years.

In order to become a member you must fill in the forms and bring them back to the Centre.  Membership is for one year and begins on the day you return your form.  With Membership you will get access to the centre whenever it is open. You will also be invited to any special events in the Centre and kept up to date on new developments.

Alot of money has been spent on the building and equipping of this Youth Centre. We are well aware and appreciative of the contribution of local people through fund raising and donations.  As such we have decided to charge a nominal fee of €25 for a year's membership in the HR Youth Centre.
